Israeli Forces Shoot Dead Two Palestinians in Occupied West Bank

(MENAFN) The Israeli army killed two Palestinians after claiming that snipers from Unit 636 fired on individuals who threw stones at Israeli vehicles along a main road near Sinjil in the occupied West Bank, according to reports.

The army’s spokesperson, Ella Waweya, stated on social media, “The snipers opened fire on the terrorists, neutralizing two of them.”

Reports note that the use of lethal force by Israeli security personnel, along with attacks by illegal settlers—often protected by the state—has increased in Palestinian towns, villages, and communities in the West Bank since the Gaza conflict, which lasted over two years starting in October 2023.

According to official Palestinian figures, the escalation has resulted in at least 1,127 Palestinian deaths, 11,700 injuries, and 22,000 arrests.
