Fresh Israeli Strikes on Lebanon Murders Dozens
Information from local sources indicated that Israeli ground forces moved toward the outskirts of Aita al-Shaab while aerial bombardments were carried out simultaneously.
In the Bint Jbeil district, an airstrike on the town of Shaqra resulted in seven injuries, while shelling in Srifa left four others wounded. Elsewhere, an Ethiopian woman sustained injuries after a strike hit a residential apartment in Aramoun, located in the Mount Lebanon region.
Air raids also extended to parts of the capital, with warplanes striking areas including Al-Kafa’at and Hara Harik. Additional locations affected by the attacks included Taybeh, Majdal, Zibqin, Yater, Kfar Qaana, Ain Baal, and Deir Kifa, as stated by reports.
Health authorities reported Monday evening that the overall death toll since the beginning of the Israeli campaign has reached 886, among them 111 children and 67 women, while the number of injured has climbed to 2,141.
The ongoing escalation traces back to late February, when US-Israeli operations targeted Iran, triggering a broader regional confrontation. Following that, Israel widened its military actions against Hezbollah in Lebanon, despite an existing ceasefire agreement that had been established toward the end of 2024.
